UNTITLED  [LIMNIC_ERUPT]

This work proposes an unconventional playback of a fully annotated film taken from a television documentary about volcanic events and their relationship to different environmental components. I extracted 1171 original frames, which were then reprocessed, reproduced on Post-it notes, and reassembled frame by frame. The animation was generated by browsing the Post-it notes with the classic "ripping" technique. Technically, the result is a cross between animation and fixed camera footage; the audio has been created and synchronized in such a way as to leave the perception of each individual event unchanged, in the real context in which this happens.
The purpose is to provide a path that involves the viewer entirely towards the representation of a process or an event, focusing the gaze, not so much on the overall composition, but on the physical construction of each individual action.
The image evoked is that of a cyclical condition, sometimes impetuous, at times meek, a metaphor for the sublime and powerful, hostile, and primordial nature, which can regenerate its own balances every time.
This balancing game is also valid in the relationship between the entire system and the architecture that welcomes it (the Post-it itself is a practical and immediate instrument of transient and sequential transcription of information) and above all in the relationship between the work and the viewer placed in a condition to read with a different perspective a thematic composition proposed today with increasingly advanced and refined technologies.
